Supra Granulated Cork
Supra granulated cork is an intermediate product between raw material and manufactured product.
After technical and chemical operations and top quality control, we obtain from these proceeds the most sophisticated products.
Supra recycle and transform the cork wastes that proceeds of natural cork stoppers manufacturing into granulated cork.
Through a sequence of operations that requires permanent control raw material is transformed into granulated cork.
In this process, the key factors are granulometry, specific weight, humidity and purity.
the first step is to change raw materials, obtaining various sizes or dimensions, passing through a heated tunnel for total humidity extraction.
The next step is a strict selection of different granules obtained, taking into consideration the caliber (processed through screens with different mesh) and also purity and quality (through adjusted vibration and pneumatic suction). The lightest granules (without adding impurities) are easily sucked in by pneumatic action due to their specific weight and the uniformity of calibers.
agglomerated corks, champagne corks, packing, battery elements, etc.
brick and concrete walls (filling purposes), thermal insulation, vibration suppressor etc.
tapered cork, coasters, stoppers, baseball balls, fishing accessories, badminton shuttles, roller hockey balls, etc.
Our best density is our best quality product with a low density of 45/55 Kgs/m3
The medium density,75/85 Kgs/m3 is also a good choice, offering a great value.
Supra provide a wide range of standard sizes corresponding to different mesh standards being the most common 0,5/1 mm;1/2 mm,2/3 mm and 3/7 mm.
Other sizes or specially tailored one can be developed based on customer request.
Granulated cork depending on intended usage can be packed in different ways, from bags to hydraulically compressed bales.
